My wife & I chose Betsi for our wedding, because of her journalistic approach. We did not want stuffy, boring wedding photos. She made planning the day easy, skyping with my Fiance while she was overseas, and always replied to emails promptly. She specifically designed a photography package that suited our needs and budget. On the day, Betsi and her assistant Sabrina, arrived on time with so much energy and enthusiasm it made it fun to have them around. They were never intrusive, but never missed a moment! As a team they bounced ideas off of each other to ensure that we got the best pictures at every location we visited. It is very apparent that they love what they do, and genuinely had fun shooting our wedding.   • Highlight of Our Wedding!

Betsi and her partner Dan were a highlight of our wedding and by far the easiest vendor we worked with! Professional, warm, calm under pressure, Betsi made us feel at ease from the moment we met her. She was always present at the right time during our wedding yet never intrusive and she worked under hurricane conditions - no power, just a generator at our wedding venue! Despite running late, Betsi never made us feel rushed and took the time to make sure we (bride & groom) had tons of great shots, assuring us every step of the way. She even helped track down our officiant after the ceremony in order to sign the marriage license! Everyone in our wedding party remarked how wonderful Betsi (and Dan) were. We can't wait to see our pictures!

  • Amazing Photographer! 

Let me start by saying that Betsi and her assistant were a delight to be around, which is so important, since they spent 8+ hours photographing us and our family and friends. Second, they both came up with very innovative ideas to showcase my dress, our rings, and my accessories. We are not models, and do not really know how to pose, but felt very relaxed with Betsi, everything was pretty much just natural. No awkward posing, or staged photos (unless requested by moms, grandmas, etc). Right before the reception she asked if we wanted specific photos with certain family members, and then after that, both photographers were pretty much flies on the wall. A+++ for Betsi Ewing Studios.

Betsi was our photographer at our wedding in September. She was a consummate pro the whole way through, from talking to us about our preferences, doing a beautiful engagement shoot, and getting a ton of great and creative shots at the wedding without being obtrusive. She sent our photos soon after the wedding and we couldn't be happier! We recommend her highly.

  • Captured the Moments!

Betsi is an amazing photographer. She was thoughtful, professional, always on time and always with a plan to capture the moment in a way that is unique to me. I loved having her and LOVE the memories I have because of her talents. She made the photography fun and always made me feel special. Plus she asked for a list of "Must Capture Moments" before the wedding so I knew that all the special events would be caught forever on camera. I can't stop looking at my wedding photos!!!

Betsi and her partner, Dan, did our photography for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. They have such incredible eyes for photography and a warm calming energy that puts you at ease. We first met Betsi at a consultation when my husband, Chris, and I were planning our wedding. From the moment we met Betsi and got to talk to her, we both knew that she was the one we wanted to photograph our wedding. She was professional yet had a laid back attitude which made both of us feel really confident in her abilities (not to mention seeing her previous work on her website, Betsiewing.com). We interviewed several photographers prior to our wedding, and decided to go with Betsi. I'm glad that we did. She was very comfortable with our guests and was very willing to accomodate our preferences (more candid than posed photos).   • Extremely Talented and Professional Photographer!

From the first meeting we had with Betsi, we knew that she was very professional, and that we could rely on her. However, she still managed to surprise us with how prepared she was for our event. We were married this New Year's Eve at the Prospect Park Boathouse. If you remember, there was a huge snowstorm, which could have made things very difficult. However, Betsi planned ahead, visiting the park the day before, and found great spots for us to take photos. Throughout the entire event, she always had a smile on her face, and her and the other photographer that she was working with that day took incredible photos. They made us both really comfortable, and never pushed us to do things that we didn't want to do. We had a small and intimate wedding (60 people), and by the end of the night, we really felt like she was a friend of ours. We would recommend her to anyone, an overall great experience.

  • Amazing! 

Betsi couldn't have done a better job on the pictures and making me feel so comfortable. Our special day was at te end of July on Bow Bridge in Central Park. She was there from start to finish, and captured every second. The results of her perfection can be seen in the photos. She was incredibly professional and the photos were magnificent. I am so proud to show my beautiful wedding pictures to everyone and so happy I picked Betsi Ewing Studio to do them. Five stars.

  • Couldn't Be Happier!

From the start, I knew Betsi was exactly what I was looking for in a photographer. She is relaxed and creative, replacing the posed studio-style shots with natural candids. After an engagement photo session with her in Central Park, I confidently booked her for my farm wedding in Queens. Not one second of my wedding day was spent worrying about photography. Betsi clearly had it all under control, getting all the shots she knew I wanted without being in our guests' faces all night. She has a great passion for her work and it shows in every photo she takes. I couldn't imagine trusting ANYONE else with the responsibility of capturing our special day.

It has been so much fun to re-live the wedding day by looking through the photos that Betsi captured. Not one moment was missed; and all of it was recorded in beautiful colors and tones. I am so happy with how the day played out and how comfortable Betsi made us feel. She was very patient with our photo requests, including taking one last group photo of 40+family members. The collection of photos she has on her website fully express the quality of work we received.
