Just hire Betsi Ewing Studio. Betsi (and her assistant) proved themselves many times over on the wedding day with their calm, open, light, and professional energies. Also, Betsi’s sparkly gold wingtips for the win. And, yes, the photos were absolutely beautiful As an unexpected addition, Betsi sent us a package a few weeks after the wedding with two custom USB drives with our photos and some select prints. Attention to detail, love, and an eye for beauty. A true professional.

Betsi was AMAZING! She captured everything we were hoping for. The photos were candid and truly showed our personalities in every way. I hired Betsi for my Wedding in Joshua Tree, California. She was so easy to work with and took the best photos. She was great on giving me direction with posing so I wasn't just awkwardly standing there! She was also great when working with the whole family, including my dog. Booking Betsi Ewing Studio was easily our best decision as far as our vendors went! If you are NOT into the standard, cheesy wedding videos then you need to book Betsi and her team. From the minute we booked, she was responsive, professional and personable. After the wedding she was able to give me an exact date of when to expect the video which is definitely appreciated when you are excited to see everything from the day. Our video completely exceeded all my expectations and we were so blown away at how everything was captured so perfectly! Sasha is a true professional in addition to being an unbelievably talented photographer. She displayed the utmost professionalism throughout my wedding planning and my wedding day. From day one, Sasha was very responsive in our correspondence. She wanted to know what my expectations were, and what I envisioned for my wedding photos. She blended this information seamlessly with her artful and creative photography style. She displayed a very high level of flexibility, from scheduling our engagement photos to travel and staying accommodations over the wedding weekend. She carefully and tirelessly edited all of the photos in the weeks after the wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the results. They effortlessly and gorgeously capture the love and beauty of my wedding day. Sasha's second shooter, Hannah, also brought the same level of professionalism and talent. The two were organized and efficient. They had a calm, laid-back, and playful yet very focused energy, that I really appreciated. Cannot rave highly enough about Betsi and her team. She was with us all weekend and truly captured the spirit of the event. Extremely easy to work with, and was great at suggesting shots not just for the wedding party, but also for friends, relatives, young nieces and nephews and even the dog. And she was game to be adventurous! At various points we were in the woods, next to a lake, and even in a boat, she was there the whole time and got some truly special shots. Highly, highly recommend!

Betsi was the best addition to our team of vendors on our wedding day in Montauk. Our pictures turned out to be more beautiful than we could have hoped. Absolutely FLOORED. My husband and I worked with Betsi for our fusion/multi-cultural wedding and she handled it in such a beautiful and personal way including all the tiny little details that were so important to my family. She is a complete breeze to work with, very professional but also very down-to-earth and good-natured. Betsi and her team are all extremely talented and genuine people. She is really quick to respond to any questions (via email, text, and phone) and very open, communicative and thorough. Betsi was already booked for our wedding day but she traveled to San Diego to take our engagement photos and arranged for two very talented ladies on her team to shoot photography and videography for the day-of. I really appreciated how she sent us several sneak peek photographs just days after the wedding. We got married on June 18, and she sent us our photos less than 1 month later and our video a week after that.. such great turnaround for the quality of work and level of service provided.

She's such a doll and so incredibly fun to be around, which is important for your wedding day! She and her assistant captured some absolutely breathtaking "first look" photos of my husband and me, lovely photos of the entire wedding party, cute candids, and some gorgeous scenic photos near our venue in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Betsi shot our wedding in April 2014 on beautiful Catalina Island. I wanted natural shots that captured our families and the love & excitement of the day, and Betsi did exactly that! To be honest, I barely even saw her after our first look and photos of the two of us. She seamlessly blended into the background while capturing great shots. When we got the wedding photos (very soon after the wedding, might I add!) I kept saying "I can't believe she captured this moment! I didn't even see her there!". I would recommend Betsi to everyone, her sweet demeanor and professional attitude made our wedding day relaxing and carefree.

Betsi was my wedding photographer in New York in Sept 2013. She was really excellent and her prices are very reasonable. You also have access to your photographs which many photographers hold as ransom so you buy prints from only them! My family from around the world was able to view and download photos from a website. A couple of weeks before my wedding Betsi walked around the venue with us so she could recommend good areas to take photographs. I have been at weddings where the photographer has no idea what would look good but Betsi has a great eye so my wedding photos came out great. I had so many compliments from our photos and my beautiful wedding album. The album is so much better quality than what I made for my mom and grandmother on shutterfly. My only recommendation would be to splurge a bit more and have video as well. My husband and I spent a lot of $$$ for our wedding dance routine and no one took a video of it. The day goes by so fast that you sort of miss great moments which you end up hearing from other people. So in a do over, I wish we would have spent money for the video in addition to the awesome photos.

From the day my fiance and I met Betsi in a coffee shop in Manhattan, we knew she was different. I knew I already loved her photos from looking at her portfolio online, but what sold me was her intelligence, her professionalism, her calm demeanor, her politeness, and her creativity. She's always on time and responsive to all forms of communication.

Her work is just tremendous, as you've probably noticed online. She captures authentic moments in natural tones, so the photos don't look cheesy or enhanced or overly dramatic. She makes you look beautiful, but "real" beautiful, not "fake" beautiful.

She made planning the day easy, Skyping with my fiance while she was overseas, and always replied to emails promptly. She specifically designed a photography package that suited our needs and budget. On the day, Betsi and her assistant arrived on time with so much energy and enthusiasm it made it fun to have them around. They were never intrusive, but never missed a moment! Betsi and her assistant were a highlight of our wedding and by far the easiest vendor we worked with! Professional, warm, calm under pressure, Betsi made us feel at ease from the moment we met her. She was always present at the right time during our wedding yet never intrusive and she worked under hurricane conditions - no power, just a generator at our wedding venue! Despite running late, Betsi never made us feel rushed and took the time to make sure we (bride & groom) had tons of great shots, assuring us every step of the way. She even helped track down our officiant after the ceremony in order to sign the marriage license! Everyone in our wedding party remarked how wonderful Betsi (and Dan) were. We can't wait to see our pictures!

Let me start by saying that Betsi and her assistant were a delight to be around, which is so important, since they spent 8+ hours photographing us and our family and friends. Second, they both came up with very innovative ideas to showcase my dress, our rings, and my accessories. We are not models, and do not really know how to pose, but felt very relaxed with Betsi, everything was pretty much just natural. No awkward posing, or staged photos (unless requested by moms, grandmas, etc). Right before the reception she asked if we wanted specific photos with certain family members, and then after that, both photographers were pretty much flies on the wall. A+++ for Betsi Ewing Studio.

We first met Betsi at a consultation when my husband, Chris, and I were planning our wedding. From the first meeting we had with Betsi, we knew that she was very professional, and that we could rely on her. However, she still managed to surprise us with how prepared she was for our event. We were married this New Year's Eve at the Prospect Park Boathouse. There was a huge snowstorm, which could have made things very difficult. However, Betsi planned ahead, visiting the park the day before, and found great spots for us to take photos. Throughout the entire event, she always had a smile on her face, and her and the other photographer that she was working with that day took incredible photos. They made us both really comfortable, and never pushed us to do things that we didn't want to do. We had a small and intimate wedding (60 people), and by the end of the night, we really felt like she was a friend of ours. We would recommend her to anyone, an overall great experience.

Betsi couldn't have done a better job on the pictures and making me feel so comfortable. Our special day was at the end of July on Bow Bridge in Central Park. From the start, I knew Betsi was exactly what I was looking for in a photographer. She is relaxed and creative, replacing the posed studio-style shots with natural candids. After an engagement photo session with her in Central Park, I confidently booked her for my farm wedding in Queens. Not one second of my wedding day was spent worrying about photography. Betsi clearly had it all under control, getting all the shots she knew I wanted without being in our guests' faces all night. She has a great passion for her work and it shows in every photo she takes. I couldn't imagine trusting ANYONE else with the responsibility of capturing our special day.
